African Nightcrawler Worms

African Nightcrawlers are a larger compost worm which makes them ideal for fresh water fishing or pet food. They are also suitable in your worm farms as they have a large appetite and co-exist well with other species of worms, when used in a worm farm they can be cared for in the same way that you care for reds and tigers. You will need to ensure your worm farm as a lid or as the name suggests they do like to wander at night especially during the warm humid summer nights.

African Nightcrawlers are a warm weather worm and are best kept at room temperature below 30 degrees C and above 15 degrees C. Do not refrigerate as the lower temperature can be fatal.  

Our African Nightcrawlers are screened to ensure a minimum healthy size and quality. They have an average body weight of about 1.3grams with a minimum weight of about 1.1grams. There are approximately 800 worms per kilo but this will vary harvest to harvest.
